LidubVietnamese dubbing Tiếng Việt

Chrome extension for YouTube

Watch YouTube in Vietnamese

Lidub is a Chrome extension that dubs YouTube videos into Vietnamese as you watch: it reads the video's subtitles, translates them and speaks them in a Vietnamese voice that stays in sync with the picture. Built for English–Vietnamese first.

  • Chrome 116 or newer
  • Works right on youtube.com
  • Sign in with Google

How it works

From subtitles to a Vietnamese voice, right in your browser

  1. Subtitles

The extension reads the video's subtitles inside your own browser. Lidub's servers never access YouTube.

  2. Translate

Subtitle lines are split at punctuation and translated into Vietnamese; lines someone has already translated are reused, so they load faster.

  3. In-sync Vietnamese voice

The voice is timed to each line, and the original audio is lowered while it speaks.

Privacy

Lidub does not read your browsing history or your YouTube account, and does not sell data. When you sign in with Google, Lidub stores your name and email to manage your account and usage budget.
